I thought Paul Heyman was really good on WWF RAW. It was interesting to me that he mentioned Lawler's situation. It would be nice if this was a work, but I'm pretty sure its not. I really hope they go with an invasion angle where Paul harbors a huge grudge with the WWF and TNN for the loss of ECW's TV spot and consequent bankruptcy of ECW.
Angles that the creative team use based on real life can work really well, and I think Paul could sell fans on his real emotions toward the situations he and ECW faced over this last year.

Above and beyond Shawn Michaels' imminent return to television and the wrestling ring, with Paul Heyman on the creative team and all the new talent they've signed...this slight ratings slump should be temporary.

The Spider-Man curse...

Following in the footsteps of movies like Twilight Zone and The Crow (a really tragic and stupid loss), there has been another on-set death. A welder was killed the other day during set production of the upcoming Spider-Man movie. He died when a crane fell on him.
The wrestler who has been cast in the role involved with Spidey's origin is Macho Man Randy Savage. I am currently in the process of finding someone locally who I heard has some photos secretly taken of Macho on the set. If I get my hands on the pics, I'll post them on the main page.

With all the crap shoved in our faces during the breaks of our favorite television shows, it was kinda cool to see Joe Isuzu brought back. I guess he's "retro" enough to be cool again.

Ballslaps and Asscracks...

I absolutely hate Andy Dick. I've never thought he was anything special. He was always funny in the things I saw him in, but I just hated him anyway.
I've now watched two of his new shows on MTV, and while I still think he's a giant ass, Its some of the funniest television I've ever seen.
The other great show on MTV is Jackass.

I really didn't want to go on every day about Lawler and Kat, but since I posted email addresses yesterday that were blocked today I thought I'd just supply the WWF contact info for anyone who cares. I'm assuming there was some form of signifigant response from fans for WWF to take these actions.

This will probably be all I'll mention for the future concerning them...barring anything of true significance. If you're looking for new developments, check 1wrestling.com or go to Lawler and Kat's sites at kinglawler.com. You'll also find an online petition you can sign. I doubt they'll be back with the WWF anytime in the future...unless this is a work...so I'm not sure what sending a message to the WWF will accomplish.

My first Survivor disappointment...

Last week they showed in the "next week" teaser that someone got hurt...they let you hear the scream and showed someone thrashing in the water. I was almost positive that someone got attacked by a crocodile or snake.
When they showed that guy got burned by falling in the fire it was a let down but I'll admit seeing his burned up flesh-peeled hands was pretty cool. He took it a lot better than most people would have and it sucked that not only he got screwed but so did their tribe. I think once they voted off the dirty girl that wouldn't bathe, everyone on that team clicked and they would have won the next challenge and gone into the merger 6-4.
Now with a 5-5 tie, It's all up in the air again and the survival of the fittest mandate begins not to apply as it once had.

Since I'm in O-town for the big goof-fest all day tomorrow, I have to make a deal with the devil and his tool of evil our Tivo and hope it successfully records Saturday's XFL game. I think Satan's just pissed at me for not believing in either him or his former boss...or that I'm using his name on some merchandise without paying him any royalties.

That Moby guy gets on my nerves. He's like some of the "art students" I went to school with who purposefully made an effort to be eccentric. If someone's nature is to be a little strange, odd, or slightly off-center, fine...but I'm pretty sure he's full of crap.

A friend sent me a link to Virtuagirl.
Now, I have a chick about an inch-high doing "stuff" in the bottom corner of my monitor. With the free version, Its cool for about a day.
Ironically, like with most real-life chicks...after about a day, I'm sick of having her around.

Lawler and the Kat...

Jerry Lawler quit the WWF in protest of his wife being fired. Its hard to see what the true story is right now, but Jerry Lawler has written a fairly detailed account of his side of the story. He left the following email addresses of the WWF creative team where you can send your support of him and Stacy and give your opinions...
Jamie.morris@wwfent.com
bruce.prichard@wwfent.com
uspizard@aol.com
brian.gewertz@wwfent.com
If you take his account as the gospel for the way it happened, It seems very strange and unfair to him and I think the WWF has made a huge mistake.
Seeing Hulk Hogan as a bad guy in a PPV match at Road Wild a month after the formation of the NWO was what got me back into wrestling. I got into watching the WWF a little later and really can't remember not having Lawler as a significant part of my enjoyment in watching their show. They lose him not only for Raw and Smackdown, but also for the XFL games. I thought the RTC angle with the Kat and Lawler was good and from what I've read, the storyline had a future with some good ideas. It was fairly obvious by crowd reactions that the fans liked the Kat and loved Lawler.
I can believe the rumors that people did not get along well with Stacy Carter. I've met the two of them, and while Jerry was pretty cool, she was a little bitchy and standoffish. I can make the exception that her attitude towards fans on any given day could change and is not indicative in any way of how she gets along with her colleagues...then again, it may reflect exactly how she does not play well with others. Its nice to see Lawler back up his woman, and I assume he's got enough dough that he wouldn't really ever need to work again. Although it seems that he loves what he does so much that it might be difficult for him to stay out of wrestling for very long.
Either way, it seems like a kneejerk reaction to a situation where the WWF has lost one of their top assets. There may be an entirely other side to this story, and somewhere else may lie the truth, but as of what information I have read up to this point, it seems like things were handled poorly by Vince McMahon. I think fans will show their support for the King through emails, and signs and chants at the events. I hope the WWF can eat a little crow and ask them to come back.
And where does this leave Brian Christopher? Or is it a non-issue with all involved?

You can stay informed on this subject at 1wrestling.com. Speaking of which, their pop-up ads are beginning to really piss me off. I really only go there for updates on wrestling news as they seem to be fairly responsible of only reporting facts and not the millions of internet fake rumors other sites often post.

Tivo ate my programs...

I depend on tivo to record the shows I watch as rarely I'm home to watch them when they air. That, and I watch a lot of shows so sometimes they air at the same time and I need to record one to watch later. Anyways, twice this week, I've been screwed by this machine. First, for some unknown reason, the recording of OZ ended a few minutes before the end of the episode. It was the season finale cliffhanger and it was a big ending to miss. Luckily HBO runs shows like OZ and the Sopranos so many times over the course of a week that I caught it again. However, two days later, because of our dumbassed president's state of the union address, I missed over 20 minutes of the ending of another show I watch...NYPD Blue. It seems like every station has its own clock which doesn't really coincide with the clock of any other station. Thursday night NBC shows are cut off before they begin or end if you record them on Tivo. If Tivo can develop software where when you see the thumbs up logo during a commercial for an upcoming show, and by pressing one button, it automatically records it...why can't they add a signal to the broadcasts to signal the actual beginnings and endings of programs so that the Tivo records the actual show in its entirety and not the timeblock. Imagine recording the Fox Sunday shows following the NFC football games. If a game runs long, you might miss part of your X-Files.

Super-sized and overdue update...

You've seen the ads for these Backyard Wrestling tapes. Tape 1 is much better than tape 2. Tape 1 has more highlight clips of hits and bumps. Tape 2 has some full matches...not as good. I felt cheated though. Somewhere along the way, I was under the assumption we'd see Major Guns naked (topless) on the tapes. There were a lot of quick shots of her in a skimpy t-shirt and shorts peppered throughout the tapes between segments. But nothing more. A friend bought them for me as a birthday gift.

The Concerts list will be udergoing a big update later in the week as I remove a bunch of shows that are temporarily gone from a hard drive disaster. In addition, I will be adding around 100 new shows I've gotten recently that aren't listed.

This is the first WWF PPV that I've missed since Direct TV zapped the cards. Of course, that's when they put on a match between Austin and HHH that many are calling one of the greatest matches ever. It was a good idea to put HHH over Austin. Austin already had the guaranteed title shot at Wrestlemania from winning the royal rumble. Unfortunately, a Rock vs. Austin for the title is the best match to headline Wrestlemania. I am really bored with SCSA at this point, and would like him to be used to get some newer and fresher talents elevated like Benoit and Raven. The Rock will most likely lose because he needs the time off to shoot his movie Scorpion King. Then a HHH/Austin feud would be good considering HHH beat him already and wants the strap. They just shouldn't forget about Angle and Big Show.

WCW sucks. They don't need another title, especially if its a second cruiserweight one. I can't believe they never have Norman Smiley on TV...and on the rare occasion he is on, they ruin it with a crappy angle. Dustin Rhodes is an eyesore who should be a person with a career in menial labor not a television celebrity. I positively dread the return of either Goldberg or Sting. Goldberg is even more boring and predictable than Austin at this point. Scott Steiner should beat him straight up every time they have a match. WCW needs to reward loyalty to the business by treating Steiner with respect and always have him represented as better, meaner, and stronger than Goldberg. Sting shouldn't return without his original old look and work ethic.

There are some new shirt and ceramic mug designs available. Go directly to the entire listing HERE.

The XFL game on NBC this week was great. It was a freezing cold wet Soldier Field hosting the Enforcers against the Hitmen. Both teams had lost 3 straight and so far have missed out on earning an additional $7,500 in bonuses. If they lost again, they would now have missed earning an additional 10 grand. Jesse and JR are a good combination for calling the games and I appreciate the way Jessee doesn't hold back. The XFL has been playing up a verbal feud between Ventura and Hitmen coach Tillman. This week was no different. With the Hitmen on the 1 yard line looking at 4th and goal, Rusty Tillman went for 3. The game was scoreless at the time and without Avery, the Enforcers had no offense working for them. Ventura called the decision gutless, and word got to Tillman who barked back a shot of his own at Jessee to the sideline reporter. The Enforcers sucked ass on offense and the QB made a lot of mistakes which you could blame on the conditions, his gloves, or just on him. The Hitmen won but it was more like the Enforcers lost. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree that this is high school ball and thought it was an exciting and fun game to watch especially with Jessee mouthing off about the Enforcers' coaching. Things heated up, and when Jessee went down to the field (after a little goading from JR) to congratulate Rusty for his first win,Tillman ran off to the locker room refusing to interview with Ventura. Ventura talked some trash to the fans and the WWF has been playing this up on Raw for next week's Hitmen game against the LA Xtreme.

This magazine sucks. Month after month it offers absolutely nothing and has the crappiest photos I've ever seen. I find myself unable to really read anything found on the pages of WOW magazine, and most of their features are stupid. Deceptively, the first issue or two were really good with great pictures. Precisely the same month that my subscription kicked in and new issues started arriving at my house, the magazine went to shit.

The "editor in chief" Bill Apter is so irritating, and uses the magazine to try an make himself a celebrity with the wrestling fans. Hey Apter, newsflash...nobody wants or needs to see a picture of you in every single issue of this magazine. Calling yourself Wonderful Willie...that's just queer.

I think I'm going up to Orlando for one day for Megacon this weekend. I've gotten where I hate comic book and sci-fi conventions. After about an hour of visiting a few people I'm friends with that have come from around the country and one quick look around, I'm bored and ready to leave. 95% of all collectible dealers are dirty scumbag backstabbers who will seize any opportunity to fuck anyone they can including their good friends. That, combined with the other reality that they're mostly fat and ugly and don't have sex on a regular basis with anyone except themselves...they fit most of the stereotypes. But its an excuse to get out of town, go to Church Street, and have a good meal. Maybe I'll take some pictures of some of the fools who go to these things. Truth be told, I'd much rather spend a day in Orlando riding rollercoasters for hours on end at Universal's Islands of Adventure.

I've been out of college for 6 or 7 years now and I saw tuition and R&B is now at $27,510! Thats a lot of fucking money. What is an education really worth? And do most people that age attending school take advantage of where they are and get their money's worth?

Somebody else noticed a few plot holes in Hannibal.

Everclear is coming April 20th. I saw them last year in a show that included among others the Foo Fighters and Fuel. It will be cool to see them play a full set. I'm not a big fan of Matchbox 20 (who they're touring with), and a lot of Everclear fans have pissed Art off telling him not to tour with them.

Its unfortunate that Napster is getting all this heat for the ground breaking service they have provided to music fans for MP3 file sharing. I agree that it is wrong to download tracks from studio albums. I've downloaded hundreds and hundreds of files, but I only download music from live concerts that are not made available to consumers in the stores.

The experience of buying a new CD from the store and looking through the booklet and reading the lyrics as you listen to the disc for the first time is half the reason of paying an artist for their hard work as opposed to stealing from them. The people who steal this material and complain about the possibility of being forced to pay for music again are cheap degenerates who would expect to get paid for any hard work they do but don't think that applies when the roles are reversed. All new CDs that are produced should have the tracks encoded with information that would prevent the material from being transferred online and duplicated. Or maybe its time that music evolves and adapts.

Maybe musicians should really make their money from touring and performing live anyway. If they're not talented enough to do so, then tough shit. It might weed out quality from mediocrity. Royalties from album sales, radio play, etc. shouldn't be the main income source, but a supplement to a live performance. It usually is that way for new talents who sign deals where the majority of record sales go back to the record label. It would help complacent bands who don't like to perform live feel the motivation toward making their fans happy. Look at the Rolling Stones, they're workhorses who are still touring after over 30 years, because the money is good.

There are only 6 episodes (total) of Temptation Island...
We've seen 4 and there are 2 left. Its getting some of the highest ratings Fox has seen for a non sports show... Why would they, of all nights, bump the show one week for that stupid-assed Barbara Streisand "Timeless" concert? It draws a polar opposite demographic, and there is a ratings grabber that night anyway, why not boost another night's ratings, maybe put it against Friends and Survivor? Its obviously pre-recorded if Fox is planning to fit it in a 2 hour block and fit in commercials. So it wasn't necessary to air it on that specific night. I understand its valentines day, but doesn't that mean a lot of couples will be out celebrating and not necessarily watching tv?

That woman could quite possibly be the devil. She doesn't even enjoy singing for people anymore, her tickets are priced in the stratosphere (like the scumbag Eagles and U2), and from what I hear she's getting around 10 million bucks for this one show... Isn't this like her 20th farewell show??? She's also uglier than the ass-end of a pig with that banana beaked, shnozz of hers. I get diarreah at the thought of her. Her beak on her face is so big and distracting that from a distance, she looks like a big bird like that cartoon toucan on the cereal box... That nose could open things that a crowbar couldn't. She's a cheap carny sideshow attraction...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Children of all ages, please turn your attention to the small tent and witness the marvel that is "THE SINGING HUMAN CAN OPENER!!!"

My parents are Jewish, so most would consider me a Jew... even though I don't believe in any of that religion voodoo, and I'll try to avoid going into a tirade about how its all crap made up by people who took advantage of other ignorant peoples' fears. I use the association to get away with making fun of them (like black people calling each other "nigger"). The simple fact is that "being Jewish" refers strictly to a belief not a race... There is no such thing as a race of Jews...

Any one who believes differently is just wrong and misinformed.
Example...a Caucasian can't convert to become Black, Hispanic, or Asian, and vice-versa. But one can become Jewish as easily as one becomes Catholic, Muslim, or any other bullshit belief. That's because its a belief, not a race.

Regardless, Streisand represents the absolute "dirty-Jew" stereotype. She's a money grubber, with a big hook-nose she could rent out as shelter for the homeless, who believes the world revolves around her. She goes near the top of my death wish list...somewhere slightly above Andy Garcia. I need a stalker to take a little initiative and "off" her -BT
