5.7.01 - 5.27.01

May 27th, 2001
Flipping around the dial this weekend I caught the second half of a "Fozzy mockumentary" on MUCH MUSIC. It was CHRIS JERICHO'S heavy metal band FOZZY in a half-hour fake documentary in the spirit of SPINAL-TAP. I caught the tail end of this thing twice and went online to find out when it might be on again and its not listed to replay anytime soon. If I find out differently, I'll try to post an update so people can catch it...it was definitely worth watching. I like Much Music, they play much better music than MTV and have some really special shows including an hour-long interview with U2 that just aired this week.

I read online that Triple H may be out as much as 6 months healing his torn quad. A summer without Triple H and the Rock...sounds like a great time for some guys to step up and enjoy the limelight. And, a great time to begin the WCW invasion angle.

I was so happy to read that Chyna was unhappy last Tuesday because of the backstage presence of her ex-management (that is currently suing her for money she owes them). Since she makes me miserable on sight, she deserves a little misery in return...just pay them if you owe them money. If you signed the contract, fair or not, honor it.

I hate EBAY more every damn day...

This ass waited until I left a positive feedback for him (so I couldn't write a negative one in return) to leave a negative one for me. Here's what he wrote:

User: nwodietcoke (8) Date: May-27-01 15:41:45 PDT Item: 1133765855 Complaint: Took 3 weeks to get to me, then the picture was bent and in bad condition.

Let's see, he wins an autograph for a whopping $2.99. I ship all autographs in an envelope, inside of a bag, inside of a box, and have never received a complaint of damages. This guy never even emailed me concerning any problems before writing this negative comment. Generally, I always replace any damaged goods with the same or better item. Oh well, too bad for him. I think his brain is bent and in bad condition. He deserves a beating.

My EBAY AUCTIONS ended today, and I will be relisting the ones that did not get bids this week... Take this opportunity to get a signed 8X10 at a really good price. Most of these won't be available at such a cheap price again so TAKE A LOOK.

One final ebay mention, this guy got screwed trying to sell signed a pair of Chris Benoit's signed match-worn boots. See the auction HERE. The high bidder has a -1 feedback rating that read "No reply to emails and payment never received. Don't sell to this fake bidder". I guess I'm not the only one forced to deal with jackasses on a daily basis

The empire strikes back...

At least the WWF shows some backbone and sues those who try to besmirch them in the nation's media and courts. This last week, the WWF won 2 separate decisions on motions to have lawsuits they have filed thrown out. And at this point, both cases will be going to trial.

A NY federal Judge refused to dismiss the WWF lawsuit against Jim Lewis (attorney for Lionel Tate..the 12 year old boy who killed Tiffany Eunick...the 6 year old baby girl), the Media Research Center, the Parents Television Council (which WWF parodies with their RTC characters), and several of PTC's representatives.

The defamation charges against Lewis stem from slanderous comments he made about the WWF on several TV programs and in a fund-raising video distributed by the PTC that they knew to be untrue. Including blaming the WWF for the deaths of 4 children. The jury in the Tate case REJECTED suggestions that he was imitating what he saw on TV. The jurors stated (after the trial) that the little girl's injuries were too severe to have come from the suggested play actions. The beating had lasted between 1 to 5 minutes with injuries such as a fractured skull and severed liver suggested a force comparable to a high-speed car collision or a 2 story fall (definitely not a few wrestling moves).

The judge was quoted as saying "The First Amendment does not protect statements that are false and defamatory, even if they are made in the context of a public debate about issues of general concern...I conclude that WWF has stated claims upon which relief can be granted."

I love hearing this from a judge. Luckily for the WWF in this case it is irrelevant whether you like wrestling or not, but whether they made untrue statements about the WWF that led to a loss of revenue. I'd love for a multi-million dollar judgment to be levied against the PTC. And in turn, for them to stop presuming what should and shouldn't be be available as choices on my television.

If anyone is to to be held accountable (other than Tate) for the death of this baby, it should be Tate's parent(s), either for allowing him to watch the wrong thing, or for not teaching him how to live like a human being. Anyone who can be manipulated by something like a TV program and can't discern right from wrong, needs to be put down like a lame horse at birth.

I've noticed that often the media is very anti-WWF. This week alone I saw 2 hour long news programs aired, one on Court TV called The System "wrestling with death", and one on MSNBC about Extreme Fighting (mostly UFC stuff but some on wrestling). I'm glad the WWF is fighting back because they sure do have a lot of people taking shots at them.

New Ebay auctions (ending 5.28.00)...

I have over 100 autograped 8X10's up for auction right now...not a regular thing for me anymore, I just needed to do some quick fund-raising for another project. Its a good opportunity to save a few bucks on something you may have had your eye on but didn't want to pay 25 bucks for. So, GO BUY SOMETHING!!! Ebay is the tool of SATAN.

What was the deal with that weird Shane McMahon WCW thing in the middle of Angle's Olympic recreation? They really need him to start showing up with DDP or Booker T. at his side.

I caught Conan O'Brien tonight and it was a re-run with a Triple H appearance promoting the upcoming Wrestlemania 17. Helmsley is really good and I really like him. I've met him in-person several times as a fan (although not recently) and he's always dickish with us and never signs autographs or takes pictures. However, unlike Chyna and Dean Malenko who are the exact same way, I like HHH because he's actually talented. Chyna is just ugly and annoying and Malenko should never have elevated past a 50 buck per-night indy wrestler.

Speaking of useless losers, what's the deal with Saturn? I just read the other day that he was doing a dark match with a young new guy and the guy blew a move and Saturn started to really put a real-life public beating on him in front of thousands of people. That sounds really unprofessional and I can imagine it being the kind of thing that opens the WWF up to an unwelcome and totally avoidable lawsuit down the road. Remember back in the day when the Radicalz first joined the WWF? Saturn used to bad-mouth Hulk Hogan constantly on his WEBSITE (Lenny Kravitz needs to sue him for using that song on his flash entrance). So why is he now trying to look just like him? He's like a midget version with that blonde mustache and bald head.

JOHN ROCKER, pitcher for the Atlanta Braves was at the Ale House late tonight. He had won that day's game against the Marlins. He was there with two hot blonde chicks. Our waiter referred to him as a racist asshole.

The new Rolling Stone is worth thumbing through on the newsstand just for the great photo of Lita and the Hardy Boyz. Speaking of newsstand publications...

You know your magazine sucks when...

They actually want to charge me $59.95 for 12 issues of this crap.

The balls on these people...a whole 17% savings off the newsstand prices. Meaning I save a whopping $11.93.

Jesus H.Christ! I sure do hate this magazine...maybe more than Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn.

I can save more money, and get much more of my money's worth by going to the newsstand, paying full price, but only buying the ones I want that contain something I'll actually want to read... And with this magazine, I've gotten numerous issues where I didn't read a damn thing...and the photos ALWAYS suck.

Aren't they familiar with the true purpose of having subscribers is?

Any real magazine makes nothing from its subscription sales. They offer the magazine at a huge discount to get people to sign up. You then sell ads (which is the true revenue of any real magazine) based off your circulation numbers (which your subscriber list can be a huge part of).

So even if you make nothing mailing issues to subscribers, the idea is that a larger circulation number means higher ad rates. Obviously they can't sell ads for this rag because their cover price is $5.99...when on the newsstand magazines with 5 times as many pages can sell for half as much.

Aren't wrestling fans supposed to consist of the highest sought-after demographic in advertising? One would think a high circulation number would guarantee some ad sales.

I am guessing this may all be a moot point since the magazine is a stack of crap month after month.

Not quite Extreme Catfighting...

This flier was left under my windshield wiper while my car was parked in the gym parking lot.

Anyone living within a reasonable traveling distance of Fort Lauderdale might want to go and watch these full contact matches featuring kickboxing, bare knuckle, grappling, and women fighting.

Its Saturday night, June 9th at the War Memorial (where they used to hold all of the ECW shows).

You can visit the WEBSITE for more information for either attending or entering as a fighter.

Does THIS come off as being extremely homo-style gay to you too???
Whatever that situation is all about, it makes me feel damn uneasy.

It would be nice if they did a little updating to the WCW website...maybe have a blowout sale like the XFL is having.

I read that there's been a shakeup in the writing team for the WWF resulting in some changes. I hope the new additions and subtractions will provide us with something more watchable than we've been getting as of late. Free or not, some television isn't worth watching and that's been the WWF (not the whole show, but most of it) as of late.

Some Scott Hall information...

Normally, I'd have no reason to visit Kevin Nash's WEBSITE, but it was one of the links on the official website for the BRIAN PILLMAN MEMORIAL SHOW.
Nash had a recent update posted that mentioned the current status of one of my favorites Scott Hall. I won't post it all here, but a few things he said were...

  • Scott is doing well.
  • He hasn’t been drinking and really enjoys working in Japan.
  • It’s been a real positive thing for him.
  • Scott is lean and looks great.

  • I was glad to read these things, and hope he's turned things around in his life. The few times I met him as a fan, he was always a super person. I think he's one of the best in wrestling when he's got his focus.
VISIT the update to read everything he wrote about Hall along with his recent encounters with The Rock and Chyna as well as some statements about WCW and Vince McMahon.

    Where are they now...

    Remember Caryn Mower?
It's okay if you don't. Her WWF screen time consisted of one, maybe two appearances on Raw as Stephanie McMahon's personal trainer. She also had an article about her (including a bunch of photos) in that useless piece of trash WOW Magazine.

I lugged those images around for months thinking they'd use her eventually and I'd get some autographs to sell. I was ultimately right, and am now probably the only one with these signed pictures...which coincidentally you can see up for sale by clicking HERE.

Well getting back to what she's been up to...I recognized her while surfing the channels last night on the Travel Channel. She's got a gig as the lead stuntwoman in the Waterworld stunt show. She was in great shape, and still looked pretty hot. She has a pretty cool and exciting job doing something similar to what she would have done in the WWF by performing in front of a live crowd with a very physical job.

    Diaz's ballz sighting...

Now, I'm not 100% sure but I think I saw Joey D. on Mad TV last Saturday. I think he was playing the character Big Pussy in a parody of the HBO show The Sopranos.
For anyone who has no idea what I'm talking about, go educate yourself by visiting Joe Rogan's WEBSITE.

Once in the website, click the image of the naked fat man in the upper right corner to get the full Joe Diaz experience. Rogan is one of the funniest men on the planet. His CD (BUY THIS!!!) is worth every penny and they play the opening track ("you gotta great ass") on Howard Stern all the time.

Amazon has a few really short SOUND CLIPS you can listen to.

    There goes my hero...

Can you believe Darryl Strawberry got preferential treatment yet again? This sucks! I HATE THIS MAN. What other individual could break probation on five separate occasions stemming from drug charges and get "another chance"? Usually when a normal person breaks probation, they go directly to jail. That's the way that works. But apparently not for this waste of air. What's with this judge? I can't imagine she admires his character, him being a man who with a wife and children has been caught with prostitutes and crack more times than I have fingers. What has earned him another chance to stay out of prison? I think they need to do a celebrity Survivor show with Stawberry, Downey jr., OJ Simpson, and Robert Blake. Nobody gets voted off, the winner is the last one alive after overdoses and murder kill off the others.

A true hero did die recently. The man who invented Cliff's Notes, Cliff Hillegass died May 5th...Hey, that happens to be the same date as the birthday for one of my ex-girlfriends...truly a bad-mojo day.

I couldn't believe what I was watching on CNN the other day...
NEW DELHI, India -- Groups of vigilantes have taken to the streets of New Delhi to track down a mysterious "MONKEY MAN" blamed for dozens of attacks on local residents.

    Watch this super-cool Spider-Man TEASER.
    May 12th, 2001
I was surfing the channels and came across something on The Sunshine Network. It caught my eye because it was an old women's wrestling match that had Jacqueline wrestling under her old name Sweet Georgia Brown. Obviously it was old footage, but I couldn't quite figure out what this show was. Later on, there was a tag match with Kendall Windham and Public Enemy in it. I had also seen clips of Brutus Beefcake and heard mention of Scott Putski. It ran for a half hour starting at midnight.

I tried to be a good detective and find out what this show was but the station website had it listed as "Ultimate Slams and Jams 6", and the show vaguely referred to itself at different times as both "AIW" and "Ultimate Professional Wrestling". There is a UPW, but I don't think its the same thing.

Since I've mentioned UPW, go visit their WEBSITE (which is pretty decent) and see what they're all about. They look like one of many independent promotions with a chance to fill some of that huge void left by the deaths of ECW and WCW.

Beetlejuice's WEBSITE has a photo on the main page from the fight they held at WWF New York. Its a great shot that has B-Juice in a Don King wig, Howard Stern, Michael Buffer, and the two boxers Angry Black and Crazy Cabbie. It was also attended by HHH, Austin, and the Iron Shiek. If you didn't see the Saturday night broadcast of it, then you really missed out on something special. HHH was really funny. You can see a couple of photos (nothing great) HERE

I am GETTING REALLY tired of those pop-up ads on 1WRESTLING.COM...they throw more of those damn things up on the screen than most porn sites.

    Speaking of advertisements...

    XFL RIP...

The XFL couldn't survive into a second season. It looks like there are just too many forces at work against new ventures like this that are started by the WWF. Visit the WEBSITE for the official statement.

Of course, having 3 games televised each and every week with none of them being at the very traditional time for football of 1:00 in the afternoon didn't help. Sports generally aren't a big draw during primetime unless its a playoff or championship game.

The exception being NFL football that has regular season games airing during primetime on Sunday and Monday nights. Remember though that the NFL has been around over 75 years and had to build the audience they have now over that long stretch of time.

Its ironic that the only two times that the XFL made it into the sports section of either major newspaper down here was opening day and the announcement of its discontinuation. Well, the only good news for fans is that merchandise you may have been procrastinating in buying will probably be heavily discounted in the near future.

Look at this VIDEO CLIP of Curt Cobain getting punched in the head during a live Nirvana show.
This PUKER DAN clip made me laugh too.

Remember the EXTREME CATFIGHTING site I wrote about in the beginning of April? If you missed it, you can read it HERE. Anyway, there's a neat little teaser promo you can download for the tapes they sell watch it...56K/DSL/CABLE

I missed Smackdown on Thursday but got to catch the special WWF Heat on MTV with HHH and Stephanie McMahon. Who ever thought this angle would run over 2 years? Hunter is so comfortable in front of that camera now and really always has the right thing to say at any moment. Stephanie really has "the look" down and is a natural at being the "bad girl" character.

I can't wait for Chyna to fall into obscurity and be replaced by someone worth the attention (I write more about this below).

Is Tazz ever going to be a wrestler again?

What happened with Shawn Michaels and his big comeback?

My JERRY LYNN signed 8X10 auction has exactly 1 day left at the time I write this. Speaking of JL (remember that gimmick in WCW when he wore the mask and went by JL?), I can't tell whether this is his official WEBSITE or not... I think it might be because I know he likes that kind of music.

    The Mummy Returns...
Of course I had to go and see the Mummy Returns Friday afternoon.
I found it to be much better than the first one.
But in all fairness, I didn't think there was anything too great about the first one.

One nice thing was that they brought back all of the original characters back and even expanded the parts of some of the characters.

My favorite from both films has to be the actor Oded Fehr who plays Ardeth Bay in both movies...although forever until the end of time will he be known as Antoine Laconte the man-whore that hires Rob Schneider in the classic movie Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo. A movie as deserving of a sequel as The Mummy.

The Rock as everyone knew was in the beginning segment of the movie which takes place in the past and serves as a set-up for the storyline for the rest of the film. He was also in the end of the movie as a completely Computer Generated character. Its the first official summer movie I've seen, and its worth the 8 bucks.

The Rock was everywhere I turned this weekend with an appearance on MAD TV (see a CLIP from the segment), and a MTV diary. What was great about his episode of Diary was that it was filmed very recently and had a lot of scenes of him filming the new Scorpion King movie.

They followed it with the MTV Diary on Chyna...MTV had a CLIP and some PICS from hers...nothing special, but I really find absolutely nothing special with Chyna at all. One quote from her on the show was "It's hard to be nice 24 hours a day". Having met her in-person probably over 6-7 times in 3 years, I've never EVER seen her nice to anyone. So forget about 24 hours a day you oafish, ugly freak...try once for one minute.

Come on, even with the MTV cameras on, you couldn't do it and actually make yourself look good in the public eye. The only reason you sign your book and playboy (other than at official signings) is because you probably feel gulity that people paid real hard-earned American dollars for items with content featuring you and you know they got ripped off. In all fairness, I haven't read her BOOK, but I really personally dislike her so much that it doesn't matter much to me and I'll bash her anyway. I'll never support her career by buying merchandise that is in any way representative of her.

I did however find an appropriate challenger to her throne on MSNBC when they ran a hour-long show on female bodybuilders. Most of the show was about brutally ugly women who obviously needed to be bodybuilders and make the rest of their body so extreme in appearance that attention would finally be averted from their hideous man-faces (even after plasic surgery, traces of Chyna's man-face are still there if you look closely).

ANY-way, They did a brief detour to focus on APRIL HUNTER who is a fitness model/Playboy model(?)/ex-stripper that is currently training at Killer Kowalski's school in the hopes of becoming a wrestler.

You may remember her brief WCW career as the redheaded NWO girl???

April has it all, the really muscular, but still very feminine body, and a beautiful face.
Its like she has the body of a Chyna and the face of a Torrie Wilson.

I just hope that she has the love of the business to work hard and become a good wrestler, and that her career isn't blocked by the insecurities and jealousies of others.

    EBAY Orders...

All orders that I have received payments for by the end of Monday May 7th will ship Tuesday May 8th.

While I'm talking about movies like the Mummy Returns...

Here's a list a few links for you to watch PREVIEWS for a few other really exciting upcoming films (all viewable in quicktime):
    FINAL FANTASY
    PLANET OF THE APES
    LORD OF THE RINGS
    TOMB RAIDER
    JURASSIC PARK III
MEMENTO (a movie that you must see and is out now)

Since we're viewing videos, HERE'S ONE...someone snuck onset and filmed 2 takes of a more basic stunt for the new Spider-Man movie.

    Now playing...

Listen to this live version of Until it Sleeps by METALLICA live 1996 in Utrecht, Holland.
CONTACT me to get yourself a copy of the entire show.

I'll keep posting the PRANK CALLS when I have the time to find them, and keep lisitng them in one place for everyone who enjoys them...I know I hate having to look around to find some in one place and some in another.

If you enjoy those, you'll probably get a kick out of visiting PSYCHOEXGIRLFRIEND.COM. This website has over 50 voicemails for you to listen to of calls recieved from his girlfriend during the course of the breakup. They're absolutely phenomenal and I spent over an hour listening to them, making sure I heard every one of them.

Speaking of psychos and stalkers, the guy at KILLTHECHILDREN.COM has a stalker and just posted an update on his website where he has all the emails and voicemails for you to read and listen to. The chick stalking him truly sounds insane, and from what I read, she lives right here in Fort Lauderdale...maybe I'll email him for her information and see what if any public records there are on her (arrests, commitments to nut houses, etc.). He also has a nice mention of one of my two favorite drug-addicted public figures.
